a) Keyboard fees are $15.50 (+GST) per 1/2 hour lesson.
b) Guitar fees are $14.50 (+GST) per 1⁄2 hour lesson.
c) Drum fees are $18.50 (+GST) per 1⁄2 hour lesson.
d) Upon enrolment, you are a charged a once off $20 Book Fee. This covers the entire
Cool Kids Music Co. Series on your chosen instrument.
Books are issued by the tutor when your child progresses between levels.
e) Lessons are invoiced on a term-by-term basis for the number of weeks in that Term.
f) You are not charged for pupil free days, public holidays or school holidays.
g) Invoices are due on the last Friday of the school holidays prior to the term commencing.
h) No discounts available.
a) Your invoice will state a 'Due Date', if this is not adhered to, a $15 late penalty is applied.
b) Some schools charge us a room usage fee. To keep our lesson fees as low as possible across the board, we only apply a room usage fee where applicable. This fee is $15 per term per child and is given back to your school.
d) If your child changes instruments, you will be required to pay the $20 Book Fee again.
e) If your child losses their current book, a replacement fee of $10 is required.
a) Cool Kids Music Co. is a registered provider for the government Creative Kids Vouchers
b) To use your $50 voucher towards your fees, please email your voucher and your Child’s Date of Birth to info@coolkidsmusic.co
c) If your fees are less than $50, no change or credit will be issued.
d) We can not accept Creative Kids Vouchers less than 7 days before their expiry date.

a) Cool Kids Music Co. staff do not collect students for lessons.
b) Cool Kids Music Co. does not provide make-up lessons, credits, or refunds due to
forgotten lessons.
c) We encourage you to remind your child to attend their music lesson each week by
leaving a reminder in their lunch box or pencil case and notifying their class teacher or
after school care provider to assist in reminding them.
d) Parents/guardians are not permitted into the music room whilst lessons are in
progress. We ask parents/guardians/siblings to wait quietly outside without distracting
children’s lessons.
e) If a child has five consecutive absences without notification and the Term’s tuition has
not been paid, they will be discontinued from lessons and their place given away.
a) If you wish to discontinue your child from lessons, please notify us via text, call, email
or a written note to Cool Kids Music Co. or charges will apply.
b) If a student discontinues mid-Term, you will be required to pay for all attended lessons
up to the date of discontinuation.
a) Make-up lessons are only available when a whole school activity occurs interrupting
our classes. We ask that parents kindly inform us of such incidences.
b) Cool Kids Music Co. does not provide make-up lessons, credits, or refunds due to
forgotten lessons.
c) Make-up lessons are only available if we, Cool Kids Music Co. cancel lessons due to
tutor unavailability.

a) Students must respect all property of Cool Kids Music Co. as you may be liable to any damages
and/or costs.
b) Children can only wait before or after their lesson if a prior arrangement has been made. If an
arrangement is in place children who are waiting for lessons must respect those undertaking
lessons in the room by sitting and waiting quietly.
c) Students must not bring food or drink to their music lessons unless they are in a lunch time or
recess time session.
d) School bags can be bought into the music room but must be placed neatly and out of the
walkway.
a) Children must behave during classes, as continued misbehaviour will be notified to parents/caregivers, and/or the school and may result in being asked to leave the program.
a) Lesson times are subject to change. Where changes are made, you will be notified by
our friendly Cool Kids Music Co. administration team.
a) Students progress through the Cool Kids Music Co. workbooks at their own pace, not
as a collective class.
b) Lesson plans will focus on both theory and practical aspects of musicianship, and as
such lesson content may vary from week to week.
c) From time to time Cool Kids Music Co. hosts the “Music Olympics”. These are a series
of games, activities, and worksheets specifically designed to expand students’ musical
theory knowledge. Students will not play their instruments during the Music Olympics.
a) Cool Kids Music Co. provides instruments for each lesson.
b) We encourage students not to bring their instruments to their lessons as responsibility
is not taken by us or the school.
c) It is not compulsory for students to have their own instrument at home, but it is
preferred to benefit their learning.
a) In the back of every Cool Kids Music Co. workbook there are homework sheets. Tutors
fill in the child’s homework, where parents/caregivers can tick off every time they have
practised.
b) We encourage students to practise at home regularly to advance in their instrument.
a) To work to how long your child should practise their instrument at home depends on
how long the child has been learning and how old they are. We recommend following
this guideline:
AGE X YEARS OF LEARNING = MINUTES (3 x a week)
For example, John is 8 and has been learning for 2 years. His practise should be 16
minutes, three times a week, or the equivalent of this. If you are still unsure, your tutor
can provide more information.
a) Semester reports of students progress are provided via email.
b) Reports are of the assessing tutors discretion and opinion at the time of completion
